Yorkshire Heather Honey | 227g

Sale price£8.95

Our very distinctive Yorkshire Heather Honey is gathered by honeybees from the purple ling heather of the peaty uplands of the North Yorkshire Moors. Reddish/orange to dark amber in colour and variously described as tangy, smoky, woody, warm and floral, with a unique flavour like no other, it is the ‘Rolls Royce’ of British honey. This is the perfect locally produced honey to include in the Rosebud Preserves catalogue and an adventurous alternative to jam.

Our honey is raw and unpasteurised, meaning it is gently extracted and lightly strained without high heat or heavy processing. This helps preserve its natural character, including the delicate enzymes, pollen, and aromatic compounds that give each batch its distinctive flavour and depth. Because it remains in its most natural state, raw honey may also crystallise over time - this is a normal sign of quality rather than a flaw, and can be easily softened if preferred (please see storage instructions). The result is a more complex, full-flavoured honey that reflects the landscape and season in which it was produced.
