Bursting with sweet-sharp, rich fruity flavour, Rosebud Preserves Damson Conserve is made from organically grown English damsons to create one of the finest naturally set preserves. Using only fruit from two private orchards – one in the Lyth Valley in the Lake District and the other in North Yorkshire – together with just the addition of unrefined cane sugar, it epitomises everything that is good about conserve: a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, a deep, intensely fruity character, and a preserve naturally set by the properties of the fruit alone.

The midnight-blue damsons are indigenous to the beautiful area of the Lake District, growing in orchards and forming windbreaks, where their white blossom is as prolific as blackthorn in early spring. This is one of our favourite and most special of seasonal preserves, available for only a short period each year. The crop is limited, and every damson is painstakingly hand-stoned by us, creating a remarkably fruit-rich preserve. Like all our jams, it contains a high fruit content of 67g of fruit per 100g of product, resulting in a depth of flavour that makes it as rewarding to eat as it is to produce.
