Pear & Somerset Brandy Jam | 227g

This very special collaboration between Rosebud Preserves and the Somerset Cider Brandy Company combines the freshness of English Conference pears, Bramley apples, unrefined cane sugar and a generous measure of aged cider brandy to create a delightful Pear & Brandy Jam. Distilled from vintage apples, grown in traditional Somerset orchards, this is the only cider brandy in EU/UK law to be awarded Protected Geographical Status.

Our Pear & Brandy Jam is light and fresh with hints of dried fruit from this very special spirit, matured in oak casks. It is one of our gentle but truly distinctive preserves and is as delicious with cheese as with a conventional scone.

“This delicate but delicious preserve takes a simple pear and turns it into a flavourful delight. The pears have all the flavour derived from a long cooking time, but at the same time also have firm resistance that give this preserve excellent body and texture. This shows great skill, as pears are usually tricky to cook and develop into something so flavourful. The addition of the cider brandy adds depth, but doesn't get in the way of the pure pear flavour. Delicious”.
